The National Lacrosse League (NLL) continues to build excitement heading into its 2023-24 season with key dates announced today, including the NLL Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and the NLL Draft, both taking place the weekend of September 15 in the Toronto metropolitan area. The NLL Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023 will consist of eight former players and two referees, all of whom have had a significant impact on the game of box lacrosse.
Leading up to the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and the NLL Draft, the league will also open its training camps in October prior to the 2023-24 NLL Faceoff Weekend in December. Among the inductees are a host of former players, such as Colin Doyle, Kevin Finneran, John Grant Jr., Pat McCready, Casey Powell, Regy Thorpe, Steve Toll, and Shawn Williams, who have combined for an incredible 37 NLL championship appearances.
The Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023 will also recognize two referees, Roy Condon and Bill Fox, who have officiated a combined 43 championship games over their impressive careers. The inaugural class of Hall of Famers was inducted in 2006 and the Class of 2023 will represent the first additions since 2016.
NLL Commissioner Brett Frood expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, saying, “We are building off the momentum of a record-breaking season and these key dates officially point us firmly toward a transformative 2023-24 season.”
