Football Fans around the globe are gearing up for what will be another year of great action as the transfer window rolls on. There are lots of rumours and reports of possible transfers taking place. Here’s a look at what the papers have said and what transfers to watch for in the coming weeks.

The Telegraph reports that Manchester City have identified Rennes forward Jeremy Doku as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who left for Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League. Harry Maguire’s personal terms are the only thing standing in the way of a move to West Ham, the Daily Mail says. Maguire will have to decide if he wants to move to the club and sign on to their terms.

The Times reports David De Gea could be set for a move to Real Madrid, with Thibault Courtois out with an ACL injury. This move could be a great homecoming for De Gea, who has spent 12 years with Manchester United.

On the Twitter front, The Sun Football cited Man Utd’s major squad crisis and how it could affect transfer plans. The Mirror shed light on Kylian Mbappe’s plea to PSG as he remains exiled from training.

Two players to watch for in the coming weeks are Moises Caicedo and Romelu Lukaku. Chelsea have looked the favourites to sign the 21-year-old Caicedo, but Liverpool have stepped in late. The 30-year-old Lukaku is reportedly being considered by Spurs if Kane heads to Bayern.

The transfer window is an exciting time for all football fans, and there’s sure to be lots of action in the coming weeks. We’ll have to wait and see who will end up where and how the teams shape up for the new season
